STYLES SILVER GOLD FAN BULLET ROUND KITE DIAMOND BEERTAB THIN
These ice fishing spoons have evolved from the 1930's from what was called a Russian spoon or hook, in the thumb area of Michigan mainly Saginaw Bay. The immigrant anglers were hammering out large metal spoons which the local's picked up on and fashioned out long tear drop shaped lures with narrow ends that were rounded inward and with the tip bent slightly outward.
These current lures made by a local man, started out being made by hand by cutting them out from sheets of metal. The process then graduated to a die and having them stamped to now with them being cut with a waterjet.
They have for years been the main go to lure used for perch fishing at Saginaw Bay, Mitchell's Bay and Lake Simcoe in Canada with the same consistent amazing results...Lots of BIG PERCH!
